2019 YEAR IN REVIEW

Highgate Connect kicked off 2019 with a telework lunch in honor of National Telework Week, which took place in March. Residents enjoyed Corner Bakery for lunch and entered to win a $100 SmarTrip card while taking a break from working from home.

Next in 2019 came Dump the Pump Day, where Highgate residents pledged to walk, bike, or take transit to work instead of driving alone. Residents took the pledge to try transit at our Breakfast On-The-Go event, and we celebrated the occasion over pastries and coffee. We loved chatting with you about various transportation options available to you on your way to work.

The program also started a private Facebook group, where we share up-to-date transportation-related information and upcoming events for Highgate Connect. If you haven’t joined yet, head on over and join the page on Facebook here.

Next, we hosted a Try Transit Week Breakfast, where residents took the pledge to Try Transit during the week of September 16-20, 2019. We held a raffle for a SmarTrip Card and a Starbucks gift card, which two lucky residents won and were able to enjoy during their non-drive alone commutes to work.

Thank you for a great year and be sure to stay tuned for upcoming events in 2020.  We look forward to seeing you soon!
